Socio-economic impacts of Drought prediction in Tunisia

Droughts are characterized by a number of features such as their severity, duration and level of magnitude. In Tunisia, Africa, climatological analyses that help in prediction of droughts have not been carried out in a long period of time despite disastrous socio-economic effects exerted by them.

Multivariate frequency analysis regarding drought features significantly contribute in assessing the climatological changes of the region and can thus be considered as an effective and rational model for the prediction of concurrently occurring droughts in Tunisia.
